BLACKHEART RECORDS (JJ 707) 1980
In the spring of 1979 (upon leaving The Runaways) Joan Jett flew to England to record some songs with Steve Jones and Paul Cook of The Sex Pistols. Later that year she returned to the US and finished what would become her first album. Despite the popularity of The Runaways this debut solo record was rejected by several US labels, thus Joan chose to release the album herself in the on her own Black Heart Records in 1980. A year later Joan signed to a major label and the record was then retitled, "Bad Reputation" and sold with full scale distribution.
Listed here is the rare "Self Titled" pressing of the album on Joan's BLACKHEART RECORDS (not the more common "Bad Reputation" major label pressing). What makes this one even more rare is that the album remains still sealed in pristine, flawless mint condition. The ultimate gift for any Joan Jett fan and a truly rare collectable that will continue to grow in value.
