Description

  • J.J. Cale released his debut album "Naturally" in 1972 on Shelter Records. It contains his only hit "Crazy Mama." Cale was a prolific songwriter but was largely unknown until Eric Clapton made a hit out of his song "After Midnight."  Lynyrd Skynyrd later also made a hit of Cale's "Call Me The Breeze."

  • This copy of (SW-8908) is from the First Pressing (note Superman logo) and is in exceptional condition. The cover still has its original Factory Shrink Wrap largely attached and is in Near-Mint condition. Please see the pictures. The disc test plays cleanly and is easily VG+ which is as high as I go on vintage vinyl. It was recorded at Bradley's Barn in Mt. Juliet and Moss Rose Studio in Nashville and this copy was pressed at the Capitol Records plant in Los Angeles. The Side One dead wax is etched 1-8908-F-2-1 and stamped ?.

  • In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Inner Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve.

  • Free shipping is included in the special corrugated album mailer seen in the last picture.

  • This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 49 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
