JIMMY SMITH "ROOT DOWN" LP - Verve Records, #V6-8806.  Vintage stereo pressing - NOT A RECENT REISSUE.  This record is extremely sought after, not just for it's original soulful, organ driven sound, but also for it's title track "Root Down" - the track much sampled by the Beastie Boys.  The personnel:  Jimmy Smith/organ; Paul Humphrey/drums; Wilton Felder/bass; Buck Clarke/congas & percussion; Arthur Adams/guitar; Steve Williams/harmonica.  The vinyl is in phenomenal M- condition (beautiful sheen)!!  The cardboard cover is in superb shape and is still protected by the cellophane shrink wrap!  Bright and clean, displays wonderfully.  Small lower left corner cut.  NO bends or creases, NO seam splits at all.  The songs are:  Sagg Shootin' His Arrow; For Everyone Under The Sun; After Hours; Root Down (And Get It); Let's Stay Together; Slow Down Sagg.
