one cut 'midnight sun' but plays through - great sound press

'Midnight Sun' has visible and audible scratch that should not 
cause any jumps as i have carefully repaired all the jumps:
   --  CAREFULLY -- (my method)

if reasonable anti skating is used correctly (on 'midnight sun')

and on a forgiving-enough mono playback set-up:
    it will deliver the vintage blue note goods (legendary sounds)


not an easy title to locate is why i decided to sell this flawed 
but desireable issue therefore:
                sold as-is (no partial refunds or returns-sorry)

I -HAVE- FIXED -ALL- THE JUMPS IN 'MIDNIGHT SUN'
caused by the scratch - you can hear the scratch here and
there on 'midnight sun' but even this flawed cut #2 is
still worth playing - it's amazing 

my apologies for selling a worthwhile and
still playable original flat edge in this condition - but still
            no-returns or partial refunds (sorry 'bout that)

even still ~ this record really is a    not-perfection/flawed but great lp to keep your blue note
vintage music trip going ~
STILL worth owning until that n/m copy comes your way
for the HUGE bucks and...
to fill any blue note flat edge 'holes' in your blue note
stash until the next perfect one comes up for sale

the 'VG(-)' is based on this grading standard:
'.....VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no              major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the                    occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items,                          without any major defects, is acceptable....'


despite it's VG(-) grading limitations the record will be acceptable in many situations
where the playback system is forgiving of the record having been played and enjoyed
for the past 59 years - make sure you're tracking at no-more-than about 3 grams with 
appropriate anti-skating on 'midnight sun'  ~ please


the cover:

       all seams are presently secured - no tape present nor needed



the vinyl is typical played VG(-) with a lite scratch here or there and....
         

please note:   
             on the cut 'midnight sun' there is a visible scratch and
             the cut may  be played successfully with
             a correct anti-skating setting 
             on a forgiving playback system equipped to handle
             this kind of less-than perfect blue note scarce pressing
             this lp is sold as-is  
             i cannot guarantee that it will play 'midnight sun'
             on every turntable without a few jumps


sold as a VG record but with the issue described on 'midnight sun'
a VG grade save the visible scratch on 'midnight sun' it's still acceptable for
blue note completists who need this scarce title to fill their run of original
lexington BN's 


notes:  
nm and ex+ copies of this scarce 1st cover issue have routinely sold for
400.00 to 850.00
this is an excellent way to get the original cover as you fill your blue note collection
with vg examples - most blue note record collecting people
already have the vol II Jimmy Smith but might need vol 1 which is a bit tricky to locate
the music is very 1st-album instense - and worth having in your collection
