Description
This is the Jimmy Reed LP titled “The New Jimmy Reed Album” on the Bluesway/ABC Records label catalog number BLS-6004, in stereo, released in 1967. This is a 1st pressing of the LP. Mary (Mama) Reed, Jimmy’s wife, is quoted in the liner notes as having said “It’s the greatest LP that my husband has ever done”. This is arguably the best sounding, highest quality recording of his entire career.
The LP is from my personal collection and was purchased new and played exclusively on a high end turntable. It was play tested for this listing in order to provide an accurate description of the quality.
This 51 year old record was pressed on thick vinyl. It is in excellent, very clean condition. The record sounds great with only typical stylus on vinyl sounds. Record labels are in excellent condition.
The outer jacket is in excellent condition with solid seams. The original printed inner sleeve is included and has two minor seam splits.
I will pack the record outside of the jacket to protect jacket integrity and ship in a sturdy LP mailer with cardboard inserts and bubble wrap for further protection.
