Today I begin the sell off of my very large Jimmy Buffet collection - one of my true favorites - so if you're a fan, or want to become one, please continue to check in on my site here. This highly collectible, hard to find, first ever released album by the super popular singer, songwriter, musician, author and more, features his very earliest songs - 11 in all. This Jimmy Buffet album is entitled, "Down To Earth" and was released in 1970 - in stereo - on the rather obscure, Barnaby Records label (Z 30093). The vinyl is very close to perfect shape with just a few super light "paper lines" in a couple of places which have absolutely no effect on the record's play. The jacket is a bit of another story - I'd rate it as fair - since it appears to have been handled a bit and, because of this, shows some wear and tear in a few places. The seam and corner areas show some scuffs and minor tears, there are some really light signs of early ring wear in a couple places, and most notably, there is a 1" manufacturer's "cut" in the very bottom left corner (see all the pictures above). But still, this particular album is quite hard to find anymore and for sure, the vinyl will not disappoint anyone - and the jacket isn't all that bad either. INTERESTING FACTS: Yes, the vinyl of this LP is in outstanding shape and the jacket is "what it is" - a radio station copy, well handled.
