Description
THIS IS AN AUCTION FOR A VERY RARE FIRST STEREO PRESS OF THE SECOND LP BY THE JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE ENTITLED AXIS:BOLD AS LOVE. THIS LP WAS RELEASED IN THE UK IN 1967 ON TRACK RECORDS CAT NO 613 003 AND THIS COPY HAS THE MATRIX A1/B1.
THE VINYL HAS RETAINED AND EXCELLENT SHEEN AND IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. THERE ARE A COUPLE OF LIGHT MARKS TO BOTH SIDES BUT IT STILL LOOKS VERY GOOD. I HAVE LISTENED TO THE WHOLE LP AT HIGH VOLUME AND THE AUDIO SOUNDS CLEAR AND VIBRANT. THERE ARE A COUPLE OF LIGHT TICKS DURING "LITTLE WING" AND "CASTLES MADE OF SAND" AND TWO POPS DURING "WAIT UNTIL TOMORROW". THERE IS SOME LIGHT BACKGROUND NOISE BUT NONE OF THIS DISTRACT FROM THE AUDIO WHICH I AM HAPPY TO GRADE AS VERY GOOD++. OVERALL IT WAS A PLEASURE TO LISTEN TO.
THE LABELS ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.
THE ERNEST J.DAY GATEFOLD SLEEVE IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. THERE IS SOME LIGHT STORAGE WEAR TO THE CORNERS AND SOME SMALL LAMINATE LIFT NEAR ALONG ONE EDGE. IT STILL LOOKS GREAT WHEN OPENED OUT.
OVERALL THIS IS A VERY NICE COPY OF AN EXTREMELY RARE HENDRIX LP.

The Lp will be sent in professional mailers and will be sent in the Uk recorded/special delivery at a cost of £2.50. I will pay the extra. The cost of postage in Europe is £8.00 and will include international signed for as mandatory . Anyone bidding who does not have feedback will have their bid cancelled straight away. I am very sorry about this but this is due to problems experienced in the past. Anyone without feedback and who wants to bid please contact me first.
Grading:- MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc
