VERY RARE IN THIS SUPERB, BARELY PLAYED NEAR MINT CONDITION

This is a very hard to find UK original mono pressing of the classic Jimi Hendrix compilation 'Smash Hits'. The LP was released in 1968 and compiled both sides of all his singles up to that point, along with with a few album highlights. Jimi Hendrix 'Smash Hits' was only pressed in mono for a very short time and is now very hard to find as a UK Track original, especially in this exceptional condition.

CONDITION

RECORD = NEAR MINT

The record is very close to perfection and appears to have only been played once or twice. I have played it through and the sound quality is superb with absolutely no faults to mention. A loud, bassy sound which is faithful to the classic mono original Hendrix singles. The black labels on 1960's Track records really show up spindle trails around the centre hole and this LP does not have any (see photos), suggesting an almost unplayed record. Very rare for an LP of this age and quality.

SLEEVE = EXCELLENT

The Macneil Press sleeve is in great condition aswell. The back cover is unlaminated and is highly prone to stains and writing etc. This is almost pure white and looks incredible (see photos). The corners are sharp and the spine perfect. The front cover has a couple of very small tears at the front opening and a small laminate crease. It is very shiny and clean though and this is still an exceptionally well looked after cover.
