Description

  •    12 inch mono vinyl LP. 33 1/3 rpm
  •      Released in 1968 in the UK on the Track label
  •    This compilation comprises the first 4 singles, together with their B sides, and 4 tracks from the debut album 'Are You Experienced


  •   Together with Jimi Hendrix on guitar and vocals the band consisted of Mitch Mitchell on drums and Noel Redding on bass

  •   Track listing:-

           Side 1:- Track 1, Purple Haze; Track 2, Fire; Track 3, The Wind Cries Mary; Track 4, Can You See Me; Track 5 , 51st Anniversary; Track 6, Hey Joe

           Side 2:- Track 1, Stone Free; Track 2, Stars That Play With Laughing Sam's Dice; Track 3, Manic Depression; Track 4, Burning Of The Midnight Lamp; Track 6, Foxy Lady

  • The sleeve features a photographic collage of 3 images of Jimi by Dezo Hoffmann on the front, with a full track listing on the rear
  • Plain paper inner sleeve with a polyvinyl lining
  • Catalogue number 612 004
  • Matrix marks:- Side 1 612 004 A 2 (stamped)
  •                        Side 2 612 004 B 2 (stamped)


Condition

  •     The record itself appears to be in very good condition no marks or scratches, apart from a few spindle marks. There are no signs of warping and the record appears to have been little played. Unfortunately we don't have the facility to play records so we can't attest to playback quality
  • The outer sleeve is very good with just some slight marks and creases and ring wear with no signs of edge wear. 
  • The inner sleeve is nice and clean with light creasing and just showing slight signs of aging.  (see photos)
  • Based on the guidelines of the Record Collectors Guild, I would say this record is 'Very Good +' (www.recordcollectorsguild.org)
