Description
Hi, and welcome to psych_out! auctions!!!
I've collected 50's, 60's, and early 70's records of almost every genre - Psych, Prog, Psychedelic Funk, Soul, Rhythm 'n' Blues, Pop, Folk, Garage, Acid, Freakbeat, Rock, Jazz e.t.c and everything in between for all my life!!! Obviously, 90% of the LP's I've ever gotten hold of are completely trashed from the hard living ways and the rock 'n' roll, drug and booze fuelled debauchery of all the wild parties of the times, but the golden 10%? Reluctantly, I've decided to offer them to all of you serious record collectors out there!!! I'm currently trying to set up a record label so unfortunately personal sacrifices have to be made when it comes to my collection, resulting in GREAT benefits for all you shrewd bidders and serious connosieurs of TRUE solid gold music history out there!!! Make no mistake, I'll try my best to consistently offer some of the VERY BEST records available on ebay, many which have taken me YEARS to find!!!
I aim to put a weekly batch up (time permitting) every Wednesday, all timed to end 10 days later on Saturday night. I'll only ever offer THE BEST, MOST AMAZING, MOST IMPORTANT, VERY RAREST UK 1ST PRESS ORIGINAL RELEASE RECORDS I've got!!! I won't insult you with later 2nd pressings unless they are of exceptional quality and rarity. I'm sure you love good music as much as me, especially when it's a 1st Press LP, direct from the master tape, as the musicians intended it to be heard (none of this "digitally remastered",weak reissued, remixed rubbish from hired hands with one eye on the mixing desk and the other on the clock! If these session men really knew how genius should sound, surely they would've been geniuses themselves?! There will only ever be one Hendrix, and that's just a tiny example).
I try to be one of the best sellers on ebay and would like to thank all of you potential bidders for your support and taste in music!!! I strictly grade all LP's I list, visually and sonically using the UK RRPG standards as customer satisfaction is highly important to me, and I'll always do my very best not to let you down. Be sure to add me to your favourite sellers list and check my auctions frequently as i'll be listing some gems that you just WON'T want to miss out on!!!
I think that's everything, so let the auction commence!!!

Just like any of the Hendrix experience albums, this is one of THE BEST LP's of all time containing some of THE GREATEST music EVER recorded!!! I love this album. It's got a unique sort of taste, feel, and atmosphere. It's certainly the most psychedelic thing The Experience ever did, right from the PHENOMENAL music to the INCREDIBLE cover artwork! This LP is a masterpiece, and absolutely LOADED with classics - you've only got to look at the tracklist! It feels really relaxed and easy going, as if Hendrix was satisfied with proving himself to the world with "Are You Experienced",and felt it was time to do what he really wanted to do. There's not too much out and out blues on here, it's more experimental such as the Jazzy "Up From The Skies",the truly psychedelic "One Rainy Wish",the Dylan-esque classic "Castles Made Of Sand",the hilarious "Wait Until Tomorrow",the delicate "Little Wing" and "Bold As Love",and his trademark freak out track! - On Are You Experienced, it was "Third Stone From The Sun". On Electric Ladyland, it was "1983 (A Merman I Shall Turn To Be)". On this, it's the PHENOMENAL "If Six Was Nine"!!!
I can't believe how amazing this LP is, every track is truly outstanding. Probably my favourite Hendrix LP (though I couldn't live without any of them). Even Noel Redding's "She's So Fine" is suprisingly excellent psych-pop! It easily sits comfortably with the greatest albums of all time, and there it shall remain until the world blows up!!!
Until that moment? Well, we should all listen to his records and be thankful that Jimi Hendrix was born!!!
Tracklist : EXP, Up From The Skies, Spanish Castle Magic, Wait Until Tomorrow, Ain't No Telling, Little Wing, If Six Was Nine, You've Got Me Floating, Castles Made Of Sand, She's So Fine, One Rainy Wish, Little Miss Lover, and Bold As Love.
Musicians : Jimi Hendrix - Vocals / Guitar / Bass / Harpsichord, Noel Redding - Vocals / Bass, Mitch Mitchell - Drums, and Chas Chandler - Producer.
About : Ultra Rare Original 1967 UK 1st Press!!! This MASSIVELY RARE LP initially sold barely anything (LP's were also really expensive to most people back then!!!) and therefore had a very small run, and is INCREDIBLY HARD TO FIND, especially in this condition!!! AN absolute classic LP from this incredible band!!! An astonishing album that really DESERVES to be in EVERY serious 60's / 70's record collection!!! Don't miss out on this MEGA RARE LP!!! If you like good music, bid now!!!The LP :
Labels :
Classic UK Original black Track ridged 1st Press labels!!! Both sides are GREAT with minimal signs of age, NO writing, NO stickers, and NO tears whatsoever!!! Just has light spindle marking from general use over the years!!! GREAT for a 48 year old record!!! Both must grade overall as Very Good!!!
Record : Visual -
Spectacular Original UK 1st Press Vinyl!!! Nice bright, clean and shiny as if it was just pressed!!! Fantastic jet black mirror like surfaces, it looks great with NO excessively nasty marks, NO deep scratches that ruin playback, and NO vicious scuffs either!!! It just has a few of the usual light, wispy sleeve traces, some obvious but still relatively light scratches and a few cosmetic scuffs, and a few mild non-sounding hairlines (only visible in angled light) mostly from where it has sat or been removed from it's cover over the years!!! Of course, none of these blemishes interfere with play, and they CERTAINLY don't effect the smoothness of it's playing!!! Well used, but still GREAT for a record of this age and rarity!!! Both must grade overall visually at least as Good+!!! (graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not overgraded AT ALL!!! Customer satisfaction is of 100% importance to me)
Record : Audio -
Thankfully, it plays BRILLIANTLY with fantastic stereo separation and clarity!!! It really sounds AWESOME with NO hops, hisses, distortion, sticks, or skips!!! Only (like pretty much all records) has low level static in places such as on the run in grooves, only some light buried ticks here and there (nothing annoying), and just a hint of ULTRA mild and light "bluesman's fag" static in few and far between places such as on some of the quieter sections, but it truly doesn't overshadow the music AT ALL!!! I'd even argue it gives it added soul!!! An outstanding listen - The music is TRULY loud and clear with that bass, depth, warmth and clarity you can only get from UK 1st Press vinyl!!! Absolutely essential!!! FANTASTIC for a record of this age and rarity!!! Must grade overall audiably at least as Very Good+++!!! (graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not trashed or overgraded AT ALL!!! Customer satisfaction is of 100% importance to me)
Sleeve :
Original UK 1967 1st Press Stereo Stickered laminated flipback gatefold E.J Day sleeve complete with original inner and bonus orange insert replica I’ve picked up somewhere along the way (a small tear at the top of the middle fold and light handling signs)!!! IMPOSSIBLE to find this sleeve in anything approaching a good condition - most are spent, torn and worn due to age and the lifestyles of the buyers of this particular LP!!! This one is not bad at all and looks GREAT, especially considering the nature of these fragile sleeves!!! NO tears, NO writing, NO graffiti, NO really bad marks AT ALL, and still ULTRA strong and solid after all these years!!! Only has a few usual signs of ageing such as some light creasing and a hint of ringwear, some light general mild surface grazing from where it has sat between sleeves over the years (nothing drastic) and a minor split to the centre of the bottom seam, some ultra light near invisible age spots to the inside and a touch of denting to the four corners which basically ALL vintage LP's have, and POSSIBLY (just to be sure!!!) one or two other minor signs of age here and there, though nothing that really stands out to note at all!!! And that's truly about it!!! I tend to bring it down by listing all the negatives I can possibly find, but this remains a GREAT sleeve and a TRUE rarity to find one as awesome as this - most have been virtually destroyed and are very often just about being held together by tape, but not this one!!! It remains strong, solid, unspoilt and beautifully presentable, and even the spine remains ultra strong, solid, unworn and unsplit!!! Must grade overall at least as Very Good minus!!! (graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not trashed or overgraded AT ALL!!! Customer satisfaction is of 100% importance to me)
Summary : A used but BRILLIANT sounding example of this IMPOSSIBLY RARE pioneering classic UK 1st Press LP!!! Hard to find in ANY condition, but simply ULTRA RARE TO FIND ONE AS SONICALLY AWESOME AS THIS!!! YOU MAY NEVER GET THE CHANCE AGAIN, so don't miss out on this scarce opportunity to own a true piece of 60's/70's music history!!! Bid now!!!

I've realized that most countries have their own unique grading system. I base mine strictly on the UK RRPG grading system (occasionally with a + or a - to indicate the higher and lower ends of the grade, though I only use these if i'm having real trouble deciding!), so please check their chart for further clarity if you are unsure of what my grades mean. As a general rule, a mint record will be 100% perfect, an excellent record will be in fantastic clean condition with the occasional mild mark and minor use from the years, and a very good record will have noticeable, yet light visual markings and obvious signs of age and use, but will still remain clean with relatively light wear and will play fantastically well with plenty of life remaining in it. I very rarely offer records below the very good region unless they are of an EXCEPTIONAL rarity and playing quality...I hope this helps!
