This is the rare UK 1st press of Are You Experienced by Jimi Hendrix. This rare earliest press is complete with the A1/B1 rare (crossed out A) matrix, the earliest matt flat Track labels, the earliest heavy flat edge vinyl, the original polylined inner sleeve and laminated patents pending Ernest J Day sleeve.
The vinyl is in Very Good+ condition. There is a sensational jet black gloss and the grooves do not show any heavy sign of play at all. There is a tiny mark on Side 2 and a couple of other wispy light marks, otherwise the vinyl is superb. The labels are exceptionally solid and clean. The text is sharp and there is only the very slightest spindle wear.
The sound quality is Very Good. The vinyl lies flat on the turntable and the sound is rich and vibrant. There is still superb clarity and separation but there are a couple of clicks and pops on the marks. Even with the marks the vinyl still plays through well and is still enjoyable throughout.
The gatefold sleeve is in Very Good condition. This delicate sleeve shows wear easily but we are pleased to say this sleeve is solid and clean. The image is unworn and the text is sharp. The whole sleeve is flat and the laminate has a sensational mirrored gloss. There is small scuff on the top edge and a couple of light laminate creases. The black is bold and the back of the sleeve is equally bright. There is a faint round sticker mark in the corner. The whole lightweight sleeve is still very firm.
