OFFERED IN THIS AUCTION IS AN ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING OF THE JIMI HENDRIX "AXIS: BOLD AS LOVE" ALBUM FROM 1967 ON TRACK RECORDS MONO 612003 A1/B1 WITH THE INVERTED TRIANGLE BETWEEN THE LETTER AND THE NUMBER AND ALSO WITH THE CORRECT ERNEST J DAY COVER.

This LP is seriously RARE AND VERY DIFFICULT TO FIND! A real piece of rock history! The vinyl is pressed on thick quality vinyl and is visually graded in very good condition only. The value is on its rarity rather than the condition hence the low starting price. Please read below for explanation of gradings. 

It is the genuine article and in MONO! This is how you'd have heard it on pirate radio back in the 60's. Not many people had stereo in those days. It definitely has a different sound and is mixed as it was originally planned to be. 

The Black track labels are in very good condition. 

The Rare E.J.Day gatefold laminated cover is in  very good condition with creases, edge and heavy corner wear in the spine. The centre of the gatefold is free from any graffiti. 

The spine is lifted in some areas and the corner is heavily worn (see photos).

Guide to grades used

Mint                      

Cover - Looks new - no marks, wear or damage

Disc - Looks unplayed - no marks visible

Near Mint              

Cover - Looks virtually new with signs of handling- Minor wear creases but no marks or damage. Light sleeves may show slight discoloration due to age.

Disc - May have minor scuffs &/or hairline scratches caused by moving record in & out of paper sleeve

Excellent                

Cover - Slight signs of wear on edges/spine, corners or ring wear. No damage caused by sticker removal/residue.

Disc- The record has been played and has superficial marks &/or hairline scratches and paper scuffs.

Very good              

Cover - Moderate edge/spine or ring wear. Corners may be a little blunt. Opening edge may show feathering caused by removal of record. Visible creases or laminate lift. Localised sticker removal damage.

Disc - The record has been played frequently and has noticeable surface marks, occasional light scratches and paper scuffs.

Good                      

Cover - Heavy ring or edge/spine wear. Corners noticeable bashed. Heavy creases. Considerable laminate/surface damage.

Disc - The record looks very well played and the sound quality has probably deteriorated noticeably. A lot of surface marks/scratches. Usually used as collection filler

I am not a dealer but an amateur collector selling duplicated items or records that I no longer want to keep (mostly due to space). I do not clean records (other than a dust with anti-static) and unless indicated in the listing the records have been only visually inspected.
