This is the exceptionally rare UK 1st Press of 'Band Of Gypsys' by Jimi Hendrix. This rare and earliest A-1/B-1 press has the matt black Track labels, wonderful heavy vinyl, the original polylined inner sleeve and rare puppets Track logo sleeve. This album is in wonderful condition and sounds sensational.
The record in Excellent condition. The vinyl is fabulous, jet black with a stunning bright gloss. There is no whitening of the grooves or any sign of heavy play at all. There are just a few wispy insignificant marks. It sits completely flat on the turntable and when played the sound is absolutely superb. Incredibly rich, vibrant and exceptionally clear. The label is also in superb condition. The black is bold, the silver is bright and the text is sharp. There is only the very slightest spindle wear. The record is complete with the original polylined inner sleeve.
The rare puppet sleeve is in Very Good condition. The images and text are bold and the colours have remained vivid. The sleeve has some light creases but it is still exceptionally solid and flat. It has probably been pinned on the wall at some point as there are small marks in the corners. The back is clean, there are a couple of marks but it is still very bright. The pinched spine is firm with perfect text.
