This is the UK 1st press of 'Axis Bold As Love' by Jimi Hendrix. This 1st has the earliest A1//B1 matrix, textured original Track labels and heavy vinyl. The record is complete with the original polylined inner sleeve and the earliest laminated Ernest J Day flipback gatefold sleeve.
The record is in Very Good condition. The vinyl has a stunning high gloss, with a few light marks on each side. None of these are significant and as such it plays extremely well. There is just a little noise as the record starts, that clears to light background noise and bold, vibrant, clear sound. Certainly no pops or jumps. The Track label has solid black, sharp silver text and the only the slightest spindle wear. The record comes complete with its original polylined warning inner sleeve.
The original 1st press Ernest J Day Deluxe fully laminated gatefold sleeve is in Very Good condition. The colours are vivid and the laminate has a stunning high gloss. There is some corner wear and a little feathering on the opening edge. Inside the flipbacks have a few little creases but are completely intact and sealed. The whole cover still feels solid and the spine is firm.
