Description
Released in 1968, "Are You Experienced" introduced the world to Jimi Hendrix, the man who would rewrite the textbook on rock and roll guitar. What makes this particular LP rare, aside from the fact that it has no scratches or blemishes on the vinyl whatsoever and the original inner sleeve and outer jacket are both in excellent condition, is the fact that it's one of the few copies released by Reprise Records in monaural (a.k.a. mono) format. By 1968, stereo was all the rage and most record companies were phasing out mono albums altogether, particularly for their cutting-edge artists like Hendrix. If you don't think this album is extremely rare, try finding another one out there in mono. Songs include: Purple Haze, Manic Depression, Hey Joe, Fire, The Wind Cries Mary, Third Stone From The Sun, Foxey Lady, and Are You Experienced.
