I am parting with some of my treasured LPs. Here's an incredible first press record from 1967. It's a first press German ARE YOU EXPERIENCED in beautiful NM condition. The LP is clean and shiny, and plays beautifully. Stamper #s 104085A and 104085B with 1967 pressed into the dead wax. A and B respectively, making this LP among the first German pressing of this iconic LP. The German copies have the name Jimi Hendrix on the cover in GREEN. A perfect color for the cover, in my opinion...And better than the UK covers that do not have his name above the record title. There are a couple spindle marks on both labels, and on side 1 a thin separation line from the spindle to the bottom of the label. In very bright light you can see a touch of a smudge on each side, but it is very minor, and does not effect play. The spine and seams are all beautiful. There is a small 1/4" dent at whelp almost halfway down, and a couple of minor corner bumps. Overall an outstanding copy that has survived for 51 years. A great feat for such an album that screams out to be played over and over again. Very difficult to find these original pressings like this condition.
What can you say about ARE YOU EXPERIENCED that hasn't already been said. In my opinion it's one of the greatest debut LPs of any American artist. Maybe The Doors first LP fits in there too... But the LP is an opening salvo in a rocket ship launch to the top of the rock world, redefining the importance of the guitar as the primary instrument in rock music, and helping to create a free form that so many would emulate---
I love original original pressings because I feel every LP is of it's time and place. The vinyl, and record pressings are all from that moment in time, and no re-pressing or re-mastering will ever make the sound better for me. PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER LPS FOR SALE NOW ON EBAY.
