Hendrix collectors will know just how rare this cover is - only a very few were pressed with laminated front and rear covers. Nearly all 1st pressings had unlaminated rear covers. Valued at £350 in the UK "2012 Record Collector Rare Record Price Guide".
Cover: The 1st pressing E.J. DAY (patents pending) laminated front and rear non-gatefold sleeve is Near Excellent to Excellent. No writings, doodles or seam splits. Nice clear readable spine. Has some laminate creasing and some wear to the edges - see photos. I have tried to emphasise the laminated rear cover in the final photo but it does not really do it justice. Comes in its original paper (non poly-lined) inner sleeve which is Excellent.
Vinyl: Thick heavy duty 1st pressing vinyl. Play tested. Looks 'Good' with quite a few non-feelable marks but plays much better than it looks at VG to VG+ with some crackle/pops. No skips/jumps on my system. The crackle is mostly only intrusive during the gaps between tracks and during the quieter moments. Not Mint/Excellent but still very listenable. These 1st pressing mono pressings stand the test of time extremely well.
Labels: Near Excellent. No names, stickers or doodles. Does have some spindle marks around the spindle hole. Has the tell-tale 'Schroeder' credit on the base of the labels.

Gradings.......Mint - The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality.
Excellent - The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality.
Very Good - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Good - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and scratches.
Fair - The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise, it may even jump.
Poor - The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc
Bad - The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
