Super rare 1955 UK Gold lettering Tri London label first pressing. One of his rarest & most desirable UK 45's, & this is a very decent copy too. Both sides have a really nice glossy sheen. There are no bad surface marks or scratches at all. Shows only light signs of play, a couple of fine hairlines, side one has one very small light top surface scuff line, this is only superficial, & has absolutely no effect on play at all, as both tracks play & sound great throughout, with very little background static / crackle. There no repeated loud clicks or pops, & there is no lessening in the excellent audio / sound quality. A really nice looking, playing, sounding rare first pressing in nice playing condition.
Please play the video provided. This will give you a good idea on how well this rare 45 plays through. Video had to be compressed, & taken on an ageing iPhone, so not the best sound quality & visuals.
The labels are in nice shape too. 70 years of moving & storage, so not 100% perfect. Just in very good condition, with no unsightly marks or defects. Both labels still look nice.
The original London records paper sleeve is in ok condition. Some creasing, wear, ageing, some evidence of a sticker removal on one side. This cover also has a couple of very small seam splits, one on one side, & another tiny split at the bottom edge. Would be easy enough finding a better replacement sleeve to compliment the decent vinyl.
I have 1 more rare 'Jim Reeves' Gold Tri-London 45's that I will be listing soon. 'Padre Of Old San Antone'. In similar condition, although the Tri-Centre of 'San Antone' is missing, but plays great with a replacement.
