JIGSAW
'LETHERSLADE FARM'
on the Original PHILIPS RECORDS 6308 033 from 1970
This is a rare collectible, especially in this condition, and on this ORIGINAL ISSUE lable!
JIGSAW are renowned for their early Psych and Norhtern Soul singles, which are highly sought and fetch high values in themselves - and this LP is surely their best for Psych collectors.
The track 'Seven Fishes' is worth having this record for alone! But they also deliver a stellar version of Family's 'Weaver's Answer', among other self-written songs. Between tracks there's a lot of 'banter', as was common around this time with albums by Chicken Shack, July, Rainbow Ffolly, The Small Faces on Ogdens NutGone Flake, and The End 'Introspection' (another wonderful album, by the way!).
This doesn't get as much attention as it perhaps deserves, while for my money the Rainbow Ffolly and July albums get more, down to their covers I'd imagine. Art and Andwellas Dream, also with their psychedelic artwork, beats both those issues in my opinion.
Letherslade Farm has to be regarded among these psych LP's.
The vinyl is clean EX and with full shine.
Lables are bright and clean, with a SAMPLE sticker, and a name sticker on the flip. Removeable, but I leave that to the buyer if they care to do so.
The fully laminated single-sleeve cover is also EX to NM
