For sale here is a VERY rare LP. the FIRST released on October 25 1968 (especially in this condition) by JETHRO TULL and called " THIS WAS" and is an ORIGINAL 1968 UK MONO 1st Pressing on the 1st Press PINK ISLAND label. THIS LP IS MEGA RARE AND VERY DIFFICULT TO LOCATE. THIS IS EASILY JETHRO TULL's RAREST LP EVER, AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE (not in this condition!!)... TRY AND GET HOLD OF ANOTHER ONE!..NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN EXCELLENT+!! CONDITION...(have a look at my photo's) THIS IS THE ORIGINAL UK 1968 MONO 1st PRESSING ON THE 1st PRESS PINK ISLAND LABEL. 1st PRESS +A / +B MATRIXES, AND 1st PRESS ERNEST J. DAY FULLY LAMINATED GATEFOLD SLEEVE ...THIS LP IS MEGA RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND - SO DON'T MISS OUT ON THIS ULTRA RARE RECORD...this is the ORIGINAL PINK ISLAND UK 1st pressing from 1968 and is in EXCELLENT+!! condition!..The record is pressed on a slab of THICK black quality vinyl. The Cat no. is ILP- 985 on the 1st press PINK ISLAND label...(have a look at my photo's) and is a UK MONO 1st Pressing..
Labels are the sensational textured orange eyeball pink island format in near mint condition!!.With the island logo below the spindle hole on both labels to confirm that this is the very first issue of this magnificent rarity. Has only 2 or 3 very minor spindle lines, to indicate that the record has possibly only had 2 or three very careful plays!! With NO damage of any kind.NO graffiti , NO rips, NO tears, and NO sticker marks whatsoever!!! and would therefore grade as near mint condition!!
Vinyl
Thickly pressed heavy weight vinyl pressing with jet black mirrior like surfaces That have that just pressed look!!. A magnificent vintage classic . Against a strong halogen light and angled at 45 degrees, There are NO surface marks,NO scratches or blemishes at all!! But quite a few very tiny faint wispy lines are visible!!.A superb visual and impossible to locate in this condition!!!.Would therefore grade as excellent+ condition!!
Sleeve
First issue fully laminated Ernest J. Day gatefold sleeve is Showing only a small amount of storage wear at the edges and corners and some mild laminate creasing to the front edges. The sleeve has NO rips, NO tears, NO graffitti or stickers whatsoever and is a pleasure to view.The sleeve is in very good++ condition!!! and a Fantastic collectors item. The wide Spine is perfectly straight and clearly legible, with a couple of minor laminate cracks . This is a fine example of this sensational island classic.
