JETHRO TULL - STAND UP - 1969 PROGRESSIVE CLASSIC ON THE PINK ISLAND 'BULLSEYE' LABEL IN EXCELLENT CONDITION

This is an excellent, well-looked after first pressing copy of the Jethro Tull classic in a rigid cover with an intact working 'pop-up' inside the gatefold, clean labels and no major faults.
VINYL: Retains a high shiny gloss finish. There are a couple of small marks visible under strong light but nothing serious. There is very little background noise anywhere. SIDE ONE: EXCELLENT. There some minor crackle at the start of track four, and a short click between tracks four and five, but none of this causes any interference with the audio, which is superb. The run-out from track five into the deadwax is little noisy, but again this doesn't affect the track itself. SIDE TWO: EXCELLENT+Minor crackle on the quiet part of track five before the finale, but nothing serious. LABELS: Original pink Island "bullseye" labels both in excellent condition, with no writing or marks, vivid original colour.
COVER: EXCELLENT. Nice example of the famous 'pop-up' cover, with a cut-out of the band in the centre gatefold. The inner gatefold is immaculate, with no damage to the pop-up, no writing, marks, or dirt. There are no creases or scuffs on the front or back covers. The spine is intact, rigid, and fully readable (see photos). The white rear cover is, as usual with this record, a little grubby from many years on shelves, but much better than most.
OVERALL: I have owned many copies of this album and this comes in the top five per cent for its overall condition and appearance. It plays beautifully, and in this condition this record is now seriously hard to find. It's probably a final upgrade for most collectors, and only for sale as I have an even better copy (Mint) in my personal collection.
