JETHRO TULL Living In The Past UK 2LP Chrysalis CJT1 Stunning Near MINT!

This LP is one of several Jethro Tull LP’s I am currently listing on ebay and the vast majority are in stunning MINT condition.  They are true archive examples of these great albums and it would be virtually impossible to find better copies than these anywhere.

JETHRO TULL ~ Living In The Past Double LP.  Chrysalis CJT1 released 1972.  Double compilation album featuring a booklet style sleeve which also contained the records integrally within the booklet.  Stunning first pressing release on the Green Chrysalis label. This innovative sleeve design was also responsible for many copies being quickly made to look very worn and shabby as the records are effectively housed between the pages of the book which naturally are not that thick, and often ripped not long after purchase, even with relatively careful handling.  This is certainly not the case here, this copy is in beautiful condition and so rare to find in this condition. 

This is a beautiful copy of this 2 LP set in stunning mint condition.  This LP is part of a small collection of Tull LP’s where the condition is quite simply outstanding. It is rare that I can say “this LP is as good as the day it left the factory” – but in this instance it is true!!!

Overall condition: MINT-

Sleeve: MINT- 

The outer sleeve is in fantastic mint- condition.  The cover and spine are extremely clean with no creases, rips, tears or marks. There is just a tiny amount of wear along a small section of the bottom front edge of the  sleeve and some tiny traces of cosmetic wear in a couple of places along the spine.  Any wear is very minor and does not in any way detract from this fabulous condition example. Amazing!! 

Inner Sleeve: MINT-

I will grade the booklet section of this LP as the inner sleeve here, as this instance it contains the records rather than separate inners, although I have now stored the records away in poly lined inners to prevent any accidental damage to the inner sleeve, either through handling or during transit at time of postage. 

The inner booklet where the LP’s are housed is in Mint- condition. There is just a minimal amount of wear caused by the booklet being handled, but make no mistake this is extremely light and the inner booklet is virtually perfect. There are no splits or rips, tears or other damage to the pages between which the LP’s were originally kept, just a small impression where the record edges have left a slight indentation to those pages. Stunning.

 Vinyl: (LP) MINT- / MINT-

The vinyl is in Mint- condition.  The records have probably had just a handful of plays. There are some general although very small and very feint hairlines on each record which have almost certainly caused purely by removal from the inner sleeves. The vinyl is in really fantastic condition.

I inspect all records under a very bright halogen lamp that reveals all marks and wear and I make my grading based only on what is visible under these conditions. 

Labels: MINT

All labels to both records are in mint condition. The labels are totally clean and unmarked

All records have been placed in a separate poly lined inner and stored flat outside the sleeve and then placed sealed in a re-sealable polythene outer prior to shipping.  Records are then placed between square cardboard sheets before packaging into cruciform mailers especially designed for LP’s
