JETHRO TULL, AQUALUNG, ULTRA-RARE 1971 UK PINK RIM ISLAND 1st PRESS. GREAT CONDITION.!!!. Beautiful copy!!!!.
It is my pleasure to offer for auction a superb example of the iconic fourth studio album by JETHRO TULL titled "AQUALUNG", Catalogue Number ILPS 9145. This is an ORIGINAL 1971 UK STEREO 1st PRESSING on the PINK RIM ISLAND RECORD LABEL with a 1st ISSUE E. J. DAY GROUP TEXTURED GATEFOLD SLEEVE. It comes complete with the correct 1st ISSUE LYRIC INNER SLEEVE. [The lyric inner sleeve is the 1st issue with flipbacks along the side edges. The matrix numbers are the earliest for this pressing: ILPS 9145 A-1U and ILPS 9145 B-3U].
Condition of Vinyl: VG+. There are lots of very light surface marks. The Pink Rim Island labels are unmarked with only a few short spindle traces near the centres. There is minimal wear to the spindle hole which still retains some plastic flashing from manufacture. Plays good, with a very light surface noise practically throughout.
No jumps or skips.
Condition of Cover: EX+ or ++ . The sleeve is in great condition, with only the lightest signs of wear and virtually no creasing. It’s a near perfect sleeve which should satisfy even the most discerning of collectors. It is fully intact and have no tears or unwanted writing. It is practically perfect. Very, very light wear. GRADING:
All records are graded using the UK ‘Record Collector’ format:
MINT (M): The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
PACKAGING INFORMATION:
LPs and singles will be sent in a record mailing envelope and will be protected by two cardboard stiffeners.
RETURNS POLICY:
If you are not satisfied with your item I will offer a complete refund. Any returns must be in the same condition as received and must be returned within 7 days of receipt. I will not offer refunds based on any details in the listing which the buyer has failed to spot - please read the descriptions thoroughly.
