An original mono copy of Jerry Lee Lewis’ 1958 self-titled debut LP (Sun LP 1230) - a relatively poor seller upon its original release, due to the double whammy of Sun owner Sam Phillips’ lack of faith in the LP format combined with its issuing coinciding with the news of Jerry Lee’s scandalous marriage to his 13 year-old cousin, Myra, resulting in an unfortunate widespread boycott of Jerry’s music and career.

 

The cover of this copy is in excellent condition, retaining much of its original gloss with just a touch of ring wear and some minor fraying in its corners.  The LP inside is excellent as well.
