This is one for all of you high end audiophiles out there. I'm sure that I don't have to tell most bidders reading this listing about the reputation of this LP. Amazingly dynamic production and a very limited import only pressing.

This is a rare opportunity to own the one and only vinyl pressing on Private Music from 1992 in all its sonic glory.

Thanks and Good Luck Bidding!

Artist: Jennifer Warnes

Title: The Hunter

Year: 1992

Label & Number: Private Music, 211974

Matrix Number & Dead Wax Info: 0O(8?)-31767-20-1A-1(B-1 on side 2), all hand etched, 205 DMG-1210 A-1(B-1), machine stamped, followed by a hand etched A

Original/Reissue: Orig

Mono/Stereo: ST

Country: Germany

Vinyl Condition: VG+

The labels are in very clean shape without spindle marks. Side 2 label has a light amount of smudging.

As I grade conservatively, I am giving this vinyl a VG+, though visually it is EX. The few marks present are most likely due to sleeve removal and do not affect the play. The vinyl has a great luster, I doubt that this record has been played more than 3 or 4 times.

As this is such a dynamic record, the quiet spots are very quiet, and these are the only times when there is a bit of light surface noise. Overall, great record/great condition!

Sleeve Condition: EX

The sleeve is in very nice shape, no edge wear to really speak of and only the most minor of corner wear. The image looks great, though there is the very beginnings of ring wear at the top where an indention from the LP is visible. There are a few small crinkles here and there near the seams. The upper edge of the back cover has a couple of very small spots of white where the gray of the cover is gone.

Insert Condition: NM

The original inner lyric sleeve is in great shape. A slight record indentation and very light wear on one corner is all there is to report.

 ABOUT ME / MY POLICIES

I am a collector and not a store; all records are from my personal collection. I will sell no record that I have not listened to carefully (unless unopened). All have been played and I tend to be overly critical of condition. I use the goldmine grading system with the added EX grade (see bottom of listing for grading explanation).

I am selling a large portion of my collection. Due to the volume, I may not have the time to list the tracks. I will, however, provide photos of every aspect of the packaging, including photos of the track listings.  I will also provide photos of  any damage to the jacket. I do my best to include distinguishing features such as matrix numbers in the description.

Every open record in my collection will be play-graded with a clean high end stylus prior to listing.

Prior to listening, all are cleaned thoroughly with the Disc Dr. Miracle Record Cleaner.  After cleaning and listening, they are put into a new anti-static sleeve. I ship records outside of their jackets together in a vinyl outer sleeve. I will generally include the original inner sleeve whether or not it is custom to the record. If a record is sealed, it will be left that way unless the winning bidder requests it to be opened and shipped outside of the jacket.

I realize that many of my policies require a leap of faith on the bidder’s part but they are necessary to me as I have no recourse as a seller. This collection reflects years of work and I could never rebuild it.

I have a deep respect for music lovers, especially record lovers and collectors. I strive to maintain the highest level of honesty and professionalism and expect the same.

Goldmine Grading

MINT or M : Perfect! A mint record should look like it has just left the manufacturer, with NO flaws what so ever.
Mint means perfect and nothing else!

NEAR MINT or NM
: A very minor scuff and very little else can appear on the vinyl. It should play without any noise over the flaw. Covers should look as close to perfect with only minor signs of wear and or age.

EXCELLENT or EX or VG++: This is truly NOT Goldmine defined grade. EX allows minor scuffs which are visible but only slightly. The wear should be minimal and of course should play mint!

EX cover Artwork should still be as close to perfect as can be. Some impression to the cover (minor outer ring wear) but no ink wear! Some slight creases to the corners, but not wrinkled and obtrusive to the eye.

VERY GOOD PLUS or VG+ VINYL:  VG+ will show wear, surface scuffs, and some very light scratches. The vinyl should still have a great luster. If the flaws don't cause any surface noise, the vinyl can make the VG+ grade.

A virtually clean cover, may have small writing on it. The artwork should look clean with slightly more aging.  Some minor wear to the seams or spine, but no tears or holes. The corners will be slightly dog eared.

VERY GOOD or VG:  A Very Good (VG) record will appear well played but still have some luster. The vinyl may be faded, yet appears to have been handled carefully. More surface scuffs and scratches, and audible sound defects, WILL be heard. The surface noise will be minor crackle or a slight hiss, but should only be heard in between tracks or in low musical passages.
VG covers will look worn, used. There may be some seam splitting. There will be some ring wear, there may be some writing on the cover. It will look aged, and more yellowish.

G+ and VG-: With a G+ record, it will look just as the described condition for Good, yet may play better than it looks. Same for VG-, it will look just as the described condition for VG, yet may play worse than it looks.

GOOD or G (including the G+ and VG- grades): A good record will look very well played and possibly abused. It will have distracting surface noise. It should play without any skips or any obtrusively loud pops or repeated clicks. A Good cover will have seam splits (possibly taped repaired, but only with scotch tape). May have magic marker writing on the cover.

FAIR, & POOR: The easiest way to define this is if does not meet the lowest grade above (GOOD).
