SPIN SEL 933742 STEREO (AUSTRALIA) 1970
in my opinion, one of the best and most unique psych / prog LPs, not only from Australia, but from ANYWHERE - like it's stablemate Reflections Of A Pioneer by Dave Miller & Leith Corbett, (also issued on Spin in 1970) this album is a KILLER - I'm not going to rant, dribble and drool about it (much!) I'm just gonna tell you it's a masterpiece, FACT - one of those woah!-so-cool records that has everything: mindtwisting psych moods; ripsnorting prog excursions, tasty dancefloor modfunk grooves, blistering soulful vocals, mesmerising sitar flashes, bursts of mad guitar, trippy blind alleys, THE F****ING WORKS!
don't let the Poms tell you only THEY can come up with a unique treasure-fest of an album, jam-packed with progpsych crossover oddities (Bulldog Breed and The End spring to mind), cos it's right here on this record (and many more, from these parts, for that matter)
ok - lecture over. . .
DISC is very good with just a few light surface scratches and scuffs - still displays impressive lustre and looks mighty clean except for the superficial stuff just mentioned
LABELS clean and bright - mint except for moderate spindle use
COVER very good to excellent, really very nice and with almost none of that nasty rear cover wear to spoil the appeal of this jewel, merely a tiny scuff over on the left lower centre - front lamination has blazing gloss with just a few minor creases around the outer edges and very lightly bumped corners - top spine with all titles clear and sharp, clean and crisp opening edges and seams - no splits, tears, stickers, stains or stamps and no writing anywhere. . .
