Condition : cover should be in great shape but showing some minimal wear on the corners and above all a hole punch which is visible in the front on the lower part of the letter L (Le Diable...) and in the corresponding point on the back which is in a white area, EX+ / vinyl has a few minor scuffs which affect minimally play with little slight clicks, EX

GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie vengono controllati sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i i 33 giri in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1. Per EP e singoli a 45 giri utilizzo un Thorens TD 166 BC con testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All LPs in auction have been fully heard on a Rega Planar 3 turntable with a Grado Statement 1 moving magnet cartridge. I listen EPs and singles 45 rpm. on a Thorens TD 166 BC turntable with a Goldring 1006 MM cartridge. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : l'album inizia con la bella canzone "Si Tu Pars" interpretata da Michèle Torr e Donald Lautrec in Francese con l'accompagnamento di una vivace ritmica. Tutte gli altri brani sono strumentali con in comune, chi più chi meno, un andamento sonoro piuttosto sostenuto. La musica riflette perfettamente situazioni di tensione, angoscia e paura che abbondano nella trama del film. Fra le tracce: "L'Escalier" (a2) dalle sonorità abbastanza ossessive ben raffiguranti uno stato d'inquietudine grazie a flauto, basso, organo e batteria. Del buon jazz in "Benidorm" (a3) anche se sfortunatamente di breve durata, "La Course" (a4) dall'atmosfera carica di suspense su un ritmo intenso ben sottolineato dalla batteria. Angoscia e paura sono descritte in "Le Mystère du Duc" (a7) caratterizzato da un particolare effetto sonoro che simula il sibilo della sirena e dall'incalzare del ritmo sostenuto dalle note pesanti del pianoforte e da un efficace "drumming". "Poursuite" (b3) è molto percussiva, con buone tastiere e basso pulsante, adatta per ballare. Una suggestiva chitarra elettrica accompagnata da basso e batteria in "Thèma d'Amour (reprise)" (b4): brano con caratteristiche "lounge" pur con una ritmica discretamente vivace. "Sous le Ciel de Tolede" (b5) ha uno sviluppo ritmico moderato con organo in primo piano e collaborazione di chitarra, basso e batteria.

Notes : the album begins with the beautiful song "Si Tu Pars" performed by Michèle Torr and Donald Lautrec in French with the accompaniment of a lively rhythm. All other tracks are instrumental and have in common, some more some less, a pretty fast development. The music perfectly reflects situations of tension, anxiety and fear which abound in the film plot. Among the tunes: "L'Escalier" (a2) from the quite obsessive sonorities depicting a state of restlessness and described by flute, bass, organ and drums. Good jazz in "Benidorm" (a3) although unfortunately from short duration, "La Course" (a4) from the suspenseful atmosphere well underlined by the drums on an intense sound tapestry. Distress and fear are described in "Le Mystère du Duc" (a7) characterized by a particular sound effect simulating the hiss of the siren and by pressure of the high-pitched piano notes and an effective drumming. "Poursuite" (b3) is very percussive, with good keyboards and pulsating bass, suitable for dancing. An evocative electric guitar supported by bass and drums in "Thèma d'Amour (reprise)" (b4): track from lounge features despite a fairly lively rhythm. "Sous le Ciel de Tolede" (b5) has a moderate development led by organ in collaboration with guitar, bass and drums.
