J.C. Heavy - Do What You Like / Is This Really Me? (Admiral AD 1153, Germany 1970(?))

Hi folks, its monster time now! Superbly rare and good 7" from this obscure 5-piece band from the UK, only released (and probably recorded) in Germany ca. 1970. "Do What You Like" on Side 1 is great Heavy Psych with powerful and sometimes almost exploding organ and razorblade acid guitar, but it´s "Is This Really Me?" on side 2 that really knocks you off your feet! A stumbling rhythm with heavy fuzz bass, deep breathing sounds, the effect-laden organ meandering into nowhere, acid guitar sneaking in, bursting out, the female singer nearly going mad singing some of the most LSD-drenched lyrics you´ll ever likely to hear (just 2 examples: "the walls are creeping closer, I´m breathing kind of slow, I look into the mirror, does this face belong to me? Yes I stand besides myself, I´m scared of what I see"; "The sparkle of the morning dew´s like diamonds to my eyes, like a magic picture book but everything´s too sized. I know I´ve seen it all before somewhere inside my head" and so on...). Gives most highly rated (and priced) Psych classics a run for the next sugarcube.... Amazingly this record is widely unknown and to my knowledge has never been comp´d. If I´d have to select a Top 10 list of the best Psychedelic tracks ever recorded, this would be one of the highest entries (and I´m collecting stuff like this for almost 25 years now, so be assured I know what I´m talking about).

I bought my first copy of this more than 15 years ago and since then I have found only 2 other copies, seriously rare item!!

Condition cover:   EX  (some minor wear and creases esp. in the top part)

Condition labels:   Side 1 EX (has slight glue residue and stain from removed sticker but no tear), Side 2 M

Condition record:   EX(-)  (Side 1 ex-: crackles in the starting and dead grooves, plays with slight crackle in parts, Side 2 ex with only some crackle in starting and dead grooves, plays fine; has no scratches but several superficial hairlines from sleeve)

I´ll only grade a record (or cover)as MINT if it is visually immaculate and unplayed (or if I´m sure that it was only played 2 or 3 times).
