VINYL: EX+ condition.
Original 1964 first mono pressing. 99% gloss. One small, almost invisible paper mark on B side - no aural impact. Superb copy for someone's collection. No Reserve, Seven Day Auction!
For those of you who are jazz and soul fanatics, this is actually from the collection of Clifford Brown's (yes, the jazz trumpet icon) first cousin who lived just two blocks from him in Wilmington, Delaware. A remarkable 70+ year old gentleman, he retired last year to Savannah, Ga and vividly recalled to me trips to his aunt's house and how "by the time you reached 9th street, you could hear Cliff playing his horn". Amazing!
The total collection is close to 1000 albums. There are over 150 late 50-early 60s Blue Note and Prestige Lp's in this collection, in addition to New Jazz, Savoy, early Columbias and others. Also there are hundreds of late 50's, 60's and early early 70's soul listings that are part of the collection because he said his wife didn't really like jazz and asked him to buy music that she could play when "her" friends came to the house. Check my listings frequently after the first of the year as I seriously start to list this collection.
JACKET CONDITION
Jacket: EX+ condition.
Great seams, no splits, great artwork, only a subtle hint of contact wear on it's shiny black jacket and only under very bright light at an angle - overall condition is excellent. Original 1964 Prestige catalog insert still present. See photos.
