Title:  “Harry Carney with Strings”

Year:  1954.

Label:   CLEF ~ # MGC 640.  Monaural pressing on medium weight vinyl.  Label is black with silver text, with deep groove.   

Personnel:

Harry Carney – baritone sax & bass clarinet

Tony Miranda – French horn

Ray Nance – violin & trumpet

Jimmy Hamilton – clarinet

Billy Bauer – guitar

Leroy Lovett – piano

Wendell Marshall – bass

Louis Bellson – drums.

Condition: 

DISC:  Vinyl is nice VG+ with full original gloss.  Has been played a small number of times and handled with care.  There are several faint marks that produce very soft tics in a couple places, but no loud clicks or pops.  Plays very enjoyably with superb fidelity.  Labels are clean.  A very nice playing copy.

JACKET:  Jacket is nice VG+.   Front artwork by David Stone Martin is clean and bright with some ring wear, particularly at the bottom center.  Seams and spine are fully intact, with some rubbing wear.  Reverse has some ring wear, and a faint red crayon mark toward the bottom.  No writing or stickers.  Overall a very presentable jacket to accompany the nice sounding disc.
