JAY BLACK sings his heart out on this affirmative action-themed PHIL SPECTOR rewrite of BRIAN WILSON's intended-for-Ronettes "Don't Hurt My Little Sister," which the BEACH BOYS recorded for their classic TODAY! album. Same performance on both sides, with a great Spector production. One of the most sought-after JAY AND THE AMERICANS collectables. A super-rarity from the Phil Spector Wall of Sound!

PICTURE SLEEVE: A striking black and white affair, on glossy thick paper stock. Rubwear, ringwear and wrinkling are evident to both faces of sleeve. All seams solid and intact. All corners are stubbed but intact. Staple hole through upper left corner of sleeve, at the JA in JAY. Rare pic sleeve is a decent VG/VG+.
VINYL: Beautiful vinyl has the same recording on both sides. One side has a couple of very slight superficial scuffs, but plays and sounds terrific. The other has a smudge that does not affect play (I just played this section, and heard no defects). Some rubwear to labels on both sides. I only played one side of this disc, but the other appears in identically superb shape. A solid VG+/EX-.
