Description
This is JAWBREAKER’s first 12 inch LP titled “Unfun” – released by Shredder Records in 1990 – and this particular copy’s on blue vinyl. I bought this record from the band after seeing them play with Jawbox at DC Space. My friends and I were only going to the show to see Jawbox (back when they were still just a 3 piece). The first Jawbox 7 inch had just come out, their demo was floating around all over the place, and for me and my friends it was sort of an exciting return to Rock. When we got to the show, I remember thinking, “Who’s this Jawbreaker band, and why are they headlining? Jawbox should be headlining, this is their DC!” Jawbox played and they were great. We reluctantly stuck around to check out Jawbreaker - and they blew us away! They had technical difficulties galore and still managed to pull off an incredible show. Needless to say, my friends and I were all believers after that. I ran up to the band after the show and bought a record and a t-shirt – a rarity indeed for me. Your band had to actually be pretty great if I was to throw some more money at you. I’m only selling this record for 2 reasons: 1) I don’t listen to this anymore and maybe someone out in the world will get some use out of it. Records should be listened to after all, not collecting dust in my room. And 2) I need money. I’m trying to go to school in 2007 and school’s not cheap. As always, buyer pays for shipping and MUST contact me to agree and arrange for shipping. In the United States, I’ll ship at either Priority or Media Mail rates.
