Description
Up for auction this time is a rather rare one from Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab, the JANIS JOPLIN album titled PEARL a MFSL TEST PRESSING of a completely UNISSUED and UNRELEASED album from the original analog master tape.
MFSL 1-154 was mastered and pressed for consideration, and then never put out into the marketplace, thus remaining of the most desirable Mo-Fi titles ever seen or heard about.
Offered here in Mint condition, I played just a few minutes of each side to make sure the music is what it should be, and that the condition is Mint. Perfect and flawless. Vinyl shows no handling or play wear at all, labels have spindle marks on one side only, and must have been played at MFSL at least once. No dust, no finger prints, just stunningly beautiful! Was kept in the original Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs inner sleeve for the last 20 years untouched and unplayed. Stored on a shelf in a cool dry climate controlled listening room. Very rare, and in perfect condition. Comes in solid white jacket, and MFSL inner sleeve.
Mastered by SR/2 which is in the deadwax, and is Stan Ricker's etching, and pressed at RTI.
This is one of these very rare once in a lifetime chances to pick up something truly precious and rare, and one that will continue to rise in value.
