Description

JAMIE HOOVER GROUP:  ‘Goodbye’ b/w ‘Phantom’ (JHG Records, 1977)

The genesis of the career of long-running HAPPY EGGS and SPONGETONES vocalist and guitarist JAMIE HOOVER begins here:  on a privately issued single credited to the JAMIE HOOVER GROUP which finds him much more infatuated by the styles of TODD RUNDGREN and ERIC CARMEN than his later beaus, LENNON & MCCARTNEY.  Great two-sides of early 70s style power pop that hits all the right Runt and Raspberry buttons.  Very few copies pressed and never circulated outside of HOOVER’s Charlotte, NC home-base.   And this copy is as about as close to mint as it gets.  DO NOT MISS OUT ON THIS ONE!  CLICK BELOW FOR SOUND CLIPS:

NOTE: Due to U.S. Post Office regulations that require insured mail sent overseas to ship via a very expensive rate, European, Australian, and Japanese winners who desire shipping insurance MUST pay an extra $10 in addition to the regular $2.00 insurance fee. Apologies in advance, but the postage rates are prohibitively high for sending insured mail overseas. Thank You.
