“NON STOP DANCING 2”

MEGARARE original Polydor Records, very first “Hi Fi” Stereo press released in Chile in 1966, licensed from the Deutsche Grammophon Ges, Germany, made and distributed in Chile by Discos Philips (Philips Records), catalog number 249 068, with machine etched matrix numbers 249068-A 8 5 (P) 1966 16 (a rombo) V in Side 1 and 249068-B 8 6 (or “C”?) (P) 1966 16 (a rombo) V in Side 2, with orange/black Polydor Records labels (white “Polydor” lettering). Yes, ANOTHER GREAT FIND FROM CHILE!!! AND WHAT A SUPERB CONDITION!!!

James Last’s “Non Stop Dancing ’66 II” was originally released in 1966 and the same year we got this great album released here in Chile, and like most of the cases of the period, we got it with an UNIQUE COVER!!! Yes, in Chile the cover is made of a single thin cardboard folded in the middle to create something like a gatefold cover and kept inside a plastic bag. These covers are very fragile but the good thing is they don’t get ring marks easily. Front cover keeps the same artwork of people dancing but with only the title in black lettering, “NON STOP DANCING 2”, with “Hi Fi Stereo” logo at top right corner, Polydor Records logo at bottom right corner and Stern Musik logo at bottom left corner. Back cover is different, with title “NON STOP DANCING N° 2” and full tracklist in Spanish only, with a pink “Diamond” sticker “SERIE DIAMANTE LA SERIE DE LOS GRANDES EXITOS” (Diamond Serie The Serie Of The Big Hits). In some cases this “Diamond” sticker is printed in cover, but in this case it’s a real sticker. In labels it’s only written the title of the album as SELECCIONES DE TEMAS POPULARES “NON STOP DANCING N° 2” (Selections Of Popular Songs “Non Stop Dancing N° 2”). It’s interesting to notice that in back cover all songs are numbered, 14 songs in each side (you can see the tracklist in this link: http://www.discogs.com/James-Last-Non-Stop-Dancing-66-II/release/2522220) but if you see the separations in vinyl, the songs are mixed in 5 tracks in each side (http://www.grandorchestras.com/jlast/albums/nonstopdancing662.html). Yes Sirs, another FIND from Chile!!! And what a great condition!!!

The cover was already described and it’s in great VG+ or EX- condition the front cover, clear and clean, with no marks, no writings, no blemishes, no bends, no creases, only minimal wear in corners and a little rip at top edge, and in VG- or VG condition the back cover, clean and clear, but with marks of humidity more evident at bottom left corner and top left corner. Record is in EX+ or NM- condition both sides, glossy and clean, with some light scuffs and ssome very faint hairlines hard to see, which of course don’t affect sound at all. Labels are in great NM or NM+ condition in both sides, clean and clear, with no marks or even minimal wear. Sound is a great surprise, it’s in great EX or EX+ condition both sides, most of songs play NM, with no background noise at all (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), loud and clear, only with some minimal light crackles here and there, more evident in the silent parts and between the tracks, which of course don’t distract at all of the great sound of this great album, a great sound from the beginning to the end. Overall an album with an incredible nice look and an amazing sound quality in spite of the 46 years old!!! And keep in mind this is the complete issue with the original plastic bag!!! Wow!!! Yes Sirs, another FIND again!!!

Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a so good copy of this record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

GBP15 for weight until 1kg (usually 1 or 2 records 12" depending of thickness of the vinyl)

GBP25 for weight 1-2kg (usually 3-5 records 12")

GBP7 for one 7” record

All records will be packed outside of the sleeve to avoid damages in the cover and all records will be sent with tracking number via Small Packet or Parcel Post services.

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for.
