Beautiful WHITE LABEL PROMO – BANDED FOR AIRPLAY copy of this scarce soul r&b classic LP entitled “Pure Dynamite!” featuring the legendary JAMES BROWN on the KING label from 1964. 

Mono pressing, catalog number is KING 883.  This is the first issue of this LP with the gatefold cover.  Label is white “promotional” with black print, has large KING logo.  

Jacket has timing strip pasted across the bottom on front, which states the following:.

This is a special – restricted release – D.J. programming aid of James Brown King LP 883: “Mr. Dynamite” – Recorded Live the James Brown Show from the famous Royal Theater, Balitmore, Maryland.  The disc is banded for greater ease with applause, etc., in spiral between bands.  The LP is continuous and we hope you can also program it all the way through.”

This came from a nice little batch of King-Federal-Bethlehem albums that have been stored for many years and are in exceptional condition.

Jacket:  Jacket is in very fine shape, with a couple of obvious flaws.  The top corners have been banged and bumped up a bit.  Also, the bottom seam has a few wear spots and a 4-inch split at bottom left.  Top seam has a 3-inch split at top right corner.   Spine and remainder of seams are intact and nice.  Art work is clean and bright.  Reverse has some minor surface wear starting to appear.  Inside of gatefold is clean and pristine.  Not a perfect jacket but overall very presentable and I believe it will be very acceptable to most collectors.

Vinyl:  Stunningly beautiful GEM near-mint disc with full brilliant gloss, perhaps unplayed.  Labels are clean and pristine.  Fidelity is awesome.  You will not find a nicer disc anywhere, guaranteed.  I am certain the winning bidder will be very pleased.
