ORIGINAL 1958 MONO KING LABEL FIRST US PRESSING WITH GLOSSY PROOF SLEEVE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH VERY GOOD SLEEVE.

Released in 1958 on the black KING label I have the pleasure of offering today this rare and sought after first US MONO pressing of this stunning debut album from the godfather of soul JAMES BROWN with THE FAMOUS FLAMES which is titled "PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE". This album rarely comes up for sale and was not on sale too long before being changed to the standard sleeve that you see now regularly see. The vinyl is in extremely clean condition showing a light scuff on one side which causes some very light ticks but overall is a very clean example of this rare JB classic.
The labels do show a name on both labels otherwise there are no stickers etc.
The album comes complete with its original glossy hard card proof sleeve which displays original Legs artwork. This is not a sleeve that you see too often, Especially in the UK. How many of these got across the Atlantic. The person who gave me this years ago got it from one of JB's backing band. The sleeve is very clean with no tears, stickers or unwanted writing etc and has never been joined at the top or bottom which leads me to believe it is a proof sleeve. Much nicer artwork than the reissue.
The album also comes with a generic white inner which is clean with no splits etc.
How often will you get the chance to get another ? These first issues rarely come on the market.
THIS ALBUM WAS PLAY TESTED ON A LINN AXIS THROUGH A MUSIC FIDELITY AMP.
I try to be accurate in my grading as I know what its like to buy miss graded items but won't insult you by writing song lyrics etc. If you feel I have not described this correctly I am happy to refund you providing I receive the item back in the same condition as it leaves me, But I can only refund one lot of postage,
