From the archive of noted James Brownj historian, Alan Leeds. In credibly rare....very few of these metallic acetate master references were cut and solely distributed to Polydor Records and James Brown Productions execs. Few survived as most were eventually scrapped. Cut by the Sterling Sound mastering lab in New York in March, 1974. This recording was later released on Brown's People label by his band, The J.B.'s, as DAMN RIGHT I AM SOMEBODY.
NOTE: Acetate reference discs are not intended for repeated play - their function was as a TEST record.. However, the fidelity is exceptional - superior to the commercial vinyl pressings of the album.
