JAMES BROWN & HIS FAMOUS FLAMES - THE AMAZING  [KING 743]


This is a RARE original US pressing on the KING label in fantastic condition. This is not a reprint, fake or import. The cover hasn't fared so well - it's split along the top and bottom, but still shows James in an amazing pose. I have always kept the album in a heavy plastic sleeve to protect it and the quality of the album reflects that.


Original King label in Black & Silver, with no crown logo. Original thick cardboard cover.


I bought this LP because of the cover - isn't that a fine suit and pomp that James is wearing?  What a treat to find some amazing 50s r'n'b inside. When my girlfriend saw the album she flipped. Turned out she had been going to The Rocket Room in the wrong part of DC growing up and knew these tracks really well, complete with the dances to go with them.


The record is in NEAR MINT condition. There are no scratches or other defects, a light mark from manufacturing that doesn't affect play. The label is in perfect condition with just a couple of spindle marks.

The cover is in FAIR - GOOD condition. It's split very cleanly along the top and bottom edges and there is a tear on the right top front. I have always kept the album in a heavy plastic sleeve to protect it.


Shipping cost will be higher than normal as I will double wrap the album in corrugated cardboard to protect it.
