JAMES BROWN - Try Me LP (King Records 635 MONO) 1959 original 1st edition with 'SMOKING GUN' cover, silver on black labels with the curved crownless 3" King logo at the top. Tracks: There Must Be A Reason, I Want You So Bad, Why Do You Do Me, I've Got To Cry, Strange Things Happen, Fine Old Foxy Self, Messing With The Blues, Try Me, It Was You, I've Got To Change, Can't Be The Same, It Hurts To Tell You, I Won't Plead No More, You're Mine You're Mine, Gonna Try, Don't Let It Happen To Me. Record is G+ with lots of light scratching, no skipping, some crackling and popping- nothing upsetting. Cover G- Seam splits at top and bottom repaired with tape from the inside, repaired with tape from the inside (also some outside taping at the bottom has flaked off), some ringwear, edgewear, some discoloration/spotting from age. There is a scratch on the front cover, hardly visible on a glance. Tear at the bottom back cover obscuring King Records' address. Hard to find in any condition.
