Description
The record you are viewing is part of a collection acquired through a successful auction bid. The product purchased is from a deceased record store owner whose doors closed circa 1970, having made a run of it during the 60's. An incredibly large volume of LPs remained, many in new (sealed) or pristine condition and properly stored. These will comprise the bulk of offerings I will be posting on eBay. With a vast and well preserved inventory, it will take time to sift through and uncover the many hidden gems that await. My goal is to present these finds to eBay buyers in a timely and systematic manner. I am aware finds of this nature are indeed rare, but the fact is, the records I will be listing have sat undisturbed for over 40 years waiting to be rediscovered, shared and enjoyed. I hope you will find some items you've been wanting and can be part of, what I feel, is an historical find. All items kept in smoke-free, pet-free environment.
Impulse Stereo gatefold vinyl LP A-17 (Van Gelder in dead wax) - released 1962
Vinyl NM. Shiny and glossy; may have been played once or twice previously. Test played once on NAD C555 turntable revealed beautiful stereo sound, quiet throughout with great presence. Impressive. Laminated cover VG +. Straight spine and seams. Some shelf and ring wear. Rear cover has small nick lower throat, a thin 3" laminate lift lower left corner and some laminate 'bubbling' upper right rear (see photo). Interior shows light discoloration spots consistent with age. Spine hinge remains strong as if rarely (if ever) opened, so opted not to photograph for concern of compromising. Overall this is a beautiful package of this rare original LP.
