Description
Up for bid is a rare LP, "One Step Beyond," by Jackie McLean. This is a stereo press, released by Blue Note (ST-84137). Interior label has New York, USA address, while at the bottom of the back of the jacket the "43 West 61st St. New York 23" address is present. The interior labels have a circled "R" underneath the "E" in "Note. "Van Gelder" is stamped on either side in the dead wax. LP is VG++, with a couple of tiny faint scuffs on either side. LP is extremely clean and retains a nice gloss. Interior labels are very clean. LP plays with minimal surface noise (some intermittent light crackle and tics) with no skips. Most (if not all) surface noise should be removed with a professional clean. Here is an excerpt from each song from this actual LP, for reference:
Jacket is VG++, with no seam splits, still in the original shrink wrap. There are a couple of small breathing holes in the shrink wrap on the front (see pictures). Includes original interior paper sleeve, with no splits. This is a beautiful set! Don't miss this very rare gem!
