JACKIE McLEAN – A FICKLE SONANCE – BLUE NOTE 4089 – NEW YORK – M-/M- - DG – MONO

Recorded on October 26, 1961, this Blue Note Van Gelder recording features Jackie McLean on alto, Tommy Turrentine on trumpet, Sonny Clark on piano, Butch Warren on bass and Billy Higgins on drums. SIDE 1: FIVE WILL GET YOU TEN; SUBDUED and SUNDU. SIDE 2: A FICKLE SONANCE; ENITNERRUT and LOST. The address on the LP label is “New York USA” and on the record jacket is “43 West 61st., New York 23”. The initials “RVG” are stamped on both sides of the blank vinyl. There is no “EAR”. This is a deep groove LP. It is a MONO RECORDING.

I have graded the vinyl and the record jacket as M- for the following reasons. The vinyl is clean of any marks on both sides. There is no sign of wear in or around the spindle hole on either side. The record jacket is in near mint condition with little to no sign of wear. It appears to be in the same condition when it was purchased.
