CHANCE 1155 - J. B. & HIS HAWKS "NOW SHE'S GONE / COMBINATION BOOGIE". J. B. HUTTO SINGS DEEP CHICAGO BLUES WITH SLIDE GUITAR AND HARMONICA ON "NOW SHE'S GONE". THE FLIP "COMBINATION BOOGIE" IS A ROCKING CHICAGO STYLE BOOGIE.
TWO CLASSIC BLUES SONGS ON THE RARE AND HIGHLY PRIZED CHANCE LABEL FROM 1954.
CONDITION USING STANDARD 78 RPM GRADING :
V VERY GOOD. SURFACE SHOWS MODERATE JUKE WEAR. STILL PLAYS PRETTY WELL AND FAIRLY LOUD. PLAYS ABOVE SURFACE NOISE. THE SURFACE IS NOT SCRATCHED OR SCUFFED. THIS IS NOT A PULVERIZED JOOKED RECORD THAT CAN BARELY BE HEARD. LABELS ARE EXCELLENT. THIS IS STILL A DECENT COPY OF THIS RARE 78.

STANDARD 78 RPM GRADING: N- NEW MINUS. Full gloss. Looks unplayed. Possible signs of handling or storage marks. E+ EXCELLENT PLUS. Full gloss. Very few careful plays, slightest signs of use or handling. E EXCELLENT. Nearly full gloss, but mild signs of careful play and handling. E- EXCELLENT MINUS. Some gloss remains, but grooves now show some gray. May have mild scuffs, scratches. V+ VERY GOOD PLUS. Grooves are mostly gray. More scuffs, scratches. Usually still plays well. V VERY GOOD. Gray in grooves is more pronounced. More surface noise due to wear and scratches. An "Average Used 78" is in the V and V+ range. V- VERY GOOD MINUS. Further deterioration. Surface noise is pronounced. Grooves are deeper gray. G GOOD. A very used record with music and surface noise about equal. F FAIR. Really beat. May skip, surface noise exceeds music. Problems like warps, edge chips, stickers or writing on labels, etc. will be noted.
