ULTRA RARE ITALIAN HC/PUNK COMP FROM 1984!

"Raptus: Negazione & Superamento" LP (Meccano Recs./Italy)

Ridiculously rare and OOP comp LP on the tiny Italian D.I.Y. label Meccano, which is probably most famous for releasing the mythical first LP by Raw Power, "You Are The Victim", in 1984 and then promptly going bankrupt. That's why records on this label are so hard to find, and this comp is no exception. It is more than just a rarity, though...it's an AWESOME slab of classic Italian HC! Yes, yes, there are two blazing early RAW POWER tracks here ("Army" and "State Oppression") which are worth the price of the record by themselves, but you also get fantastic material from killer bands like REIG, CANI, and WRONG BOYS. All great HC tunes! As you can see from the photo, this record comes on swanky blue vinyl, with a beautiful screened insert. A really fantastic package all around. Here's what Maximum Rock'n'Roll zine had to say about this record back in the day:

The second Raptus compilation is superior to the first edition. The production is better, and it contains material by Reig, the Wrong Boys, Stigmathe, the Crapping Dogs, Raw Power, the Acid Cocks, and Cani. Once again, Raw Power dominate the record--check out their awesome "Army"--but Reig and Cani can also burn, and the Crapping Dogs have a couple of sing-along Oi-type chants. Blue vinyl.

There you have it, folks! This is pretty much essential, and at a reasonable opening price like this, I wouldn't wait for another copy to come up if I were you...

Condition: Vinyl and sleeve are both graded VG+. A little bit of wear on the sleeve in the form of ring wear, but it's not bad at all. Very good condition for a record that is over 25 years old! The insert is also in excellent shape.
