Where do we start.... Well first of all you would think that Maiden wouldnt have many fans in India especially in the 1980s.. Noone really knew. No singles were released there officially. As far as I know only Killers, Notb, Powerslave and somewhere in time on vinyl. Maiden were the first Major rock or metal band to ever play in India in 2007 on the AMOLAD tour to massive acclaim after the AMOLAD album went to number 2 in the Indian charts. They just had to tour there. They smashed it and opened new ground across the world for metal. Anyways. Im babbling. There were two versions of somewhere in time released in India. One on an EMI yellow label which is rare in itself. And this one. The mysterious HMV pressing. The pressing plant is no longer there and hasnt been for a long time. Mainly pressings for the Indian market were manufactured there but also for a few western music markets. Whitesnake, rolling stones acdc etc all had Records from HMV pressed there with the same red HMV label. With this one though nobody has yet managed to confirm the status of the record as licensed or unlicensed. It absolutely appears to be a licenced press and very rare. EMI officially pressed this but who gave HMV india permission to press this? One day we may find out but all written documents are destroyed. Would love to know the status of this record myself! Anyways. Its up for grabs and a must have. Very clean for a rare album from 3 decades ago. Any questions please ask. Cheers!
