Description
This is THE Maiden collectible - a genuine original first pressing of The Soundhouse Tapes. This was bought through the mail order ad that Iron Maiden used to sell this, their first recording, limited to 5000. It comes complete with original sleeve, and incredibly, the original note that was sent out when the sleeves were delayed and the single was posted first and the sleeve later.
The recored carries all of the proper markings - ROK 1A EG*SA LYN 7627 and ROK 1B EG*SA LYN 7628 on the runoff vinyl
The sleeve is in Good condition, there is some creasing on the corners which is not suprising for a 33 year old item, and a slight split across the bottom of the sleeve. There is no writing or other marks on it.
The record I would grade as VG+. There are some light surface marks, but they do not affect play. There is some light crackle on the lead-in grooves, but all 3 tracks play through with no distortion or clicks. It has been played through once to check, on a top quality hifi sysytem.
The accompanying note has at some point in the past had a corner torn off, but there are no parts missing and would easily be restored with some good quality adhesive paper or tape. I have shown it as it is for a truly honest listing.
I am selling this for a friend who is clearing out some memorabilia; it belongs to the original fan who sent off a postal order to get this in 1979! I have seen this item listed at ridiculous amounts before, but I have started this listing at a reasonable price for such a rare and collectible item.
