These come up very rarely. This is the Italian first pressing of Piece Of Mind. One of a handful of pressings that slipped through the net with the last song on Side 2 listed as ‘Dune’ rather than ‘To Tame a Land’. Most of these rarities disappeared into the hands of collectors very early on.
The original title of ‘To Tame a Land’ was all set to be ‘Dune’ but permission was not given by the author of ‘Dune’ on which the song is based as he didn’t like rock bands ‘...and especially not bands like Iron Maiden’.
the misprint occurs on the back of the sleeve and on the label of the vinyl itself.
not only was the song name printed incorrectly, the time was too - 7.37 instead of 7.26
Interestingly on the inside of the gatefold, all details for the track are correct.
This copy is in excellent condition. The gatefold sleeve is more matt than its UK counterpart which has a glossier finish. Aside from minor handling and storage wear, the gatefold sleeve is in great shape and rates as Excellent. There is a small record store label on the front.
The inner sleeve is plain white but in excellent condition.
The vinyl itself is in Excellent+ condition and has clearly seen very little play. It has the date 22-4-83 etched on the runout which would be the pressing date - the album was released the following month in May 1983.
