Iron Maiden - Monster Metal Limited Edition Green Vinyl
Limited Edition Green Vinyl 12" Released 2005
This German release from 2005 is still sealed in its original packaging. It has never been played and the seal on it has never been broken. For this reason I have no hesitation in offering it for sale in new Mint condition. I bought the record in 2005 and since then it has been kept in a record container, untouched and never played.
Having researched this record on the internet I know that it is quite sought after and very collectible. It is of course an Unofficial Maiden release. I have read that even though the record says on the sleeve that it was recorded in Edinburgh, Scotland, it was actually recorded in Birmingham, England. This is due to Bruce saying 'scream for me Birmingham' on one of the tracks.
On the sleeve it says that the live recording was done on 20th November 1988. Historically, Iron Maiden did play at the Edinburgh Playhouse on 20/21/22 November 1988 as part of the 7th Tour of a 7th Tour European leg. If the record was recorded in Birmingham it would have been on 27/28 November 1988 at the Birmingham, England NEC. The tracks on the album were certainly played on that tour.
I have also heard that the printed track listing is not actually the correct one. As I have never played the record, I cannot confirm or deny this.
