Description
Hi there. Up for auction is this original 1981 Australian pressing of Iron Maiden's 'Killers' LP. This version has the inclusion of 'Women In Uniform', unlike British and US copies. The gradings are as follows: Cover - VG+ Although there is no creasing, writing or tears, there is some minor opening edge and spine wear evident. Vinyl - EX Although visually there appears to be some scuffing it actually plays brilliantly. Sound-wise I would have graded it NM, based on the fact there is next to no surface noise, skips, pops or jumps through the playback except for a skip right at the volume fade out on the final cymbal crash at the very end of 'Drifter' at the end of Side 2. It is so late it is literally right on the final one second of the song as it fades to nothing at the runout. For me, it's never been an issue as I always manually lift the tonearm away on my Rega RP1 at this point. If you rely on a fully automatic lift-up, this may not be suitable for you. Otherwise, the record sounds fabulous where it counts. Labels - NM The labels are as fresh as the day it was pressed. Vivid coloration with no handwriting, creasing or spindle marks. Please note that I am quite conservative in my ratings and I have pointed out the flaws as I see them, although somewhat harshly. All records are shipped in proper record mailing cartons with the vinyl external to the cover for your peace of mind. Thanks for looking and happy bidding.
